When your drain is clogged and backing up the first step in to clear the blockage. This is what most companies do and then stop on. Once the blockage is cleared this will allow us to put a camera down the pipe to see what are the next steps.  

When asked how do you clean a pipe, most plumbers will tell you to use a hydro-jetter. This is where you send a special high water pressure nozzle down your drain and clean what is left of the blockage that was just cleared above. Hydro-jetting is a great way to help clear your pipes of excess buildup but sometimes it's not always the best choice. Thanks to recent advancements in technology by Picote we are able to clean pipes thought to be uncleanable even by hydro-jetting.  

What is the difference between pipe coating and pipe lining? Lining a pipe usually requires that the entire pipe needs to be lined and you need access to both ends. Plus if the pipe has a belly or major damage the city of fort Collins will not allow it to pass inspection. Instead of lining we use a process called coating which allows us to fix sections of the pipe from within, rather then having to dig up your yard to replace the sections. The great part about coating is we control what parts of the sewer line are repaired and we can guarantee the fix for 50 years (With normal use). 

Q- What is the benefit to coating the pipe rather then replacing it?

A- Replacing the pipe is costly because not only will you need to pay to dig up the sewer line but you there will be costs to replace the landscaping that is damaged in the process. Coating will allow us to repair the pipe without having to dig up the sewer line. 

Q- Can all sewer pipes be coated? 

A- For the most parts yes! However there are cases where the sewer line will need to be replaced entirely.

Q- How long does the process take?

A- For most spot fixes we will be done with the repairs the same day. Thanks to the special formula of our epoxy it only take 10-15 mins to fully cure once it's in place.
